Bio - Pastor Kurt Gamlin

A graduate of Illinois State University, Pastor Kurt Gamlin went on to the Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY.  He has served at Reynolds UMC, and at Hinsdale UMC as the associate pastor, serving with Martin Deppe.  Starting in 1990, Pastor Kurt served at Antioch UMC for 10 years and went on to serve at Wheaton UMC for 12 years. Pastor Kurt is currently at FUMC, Woodstock, where he has served for the past 6 years.

Pastor Kurt states, "I believe strongly in the need for a vital Sunday morning gathering. While the strength of the Sunday gathering cannot be overstated, at the same time, I believe that growth takes place better in circles than in rows. That is intended to lift up the importance of small groups. Trust and authentic caring are essential to the well-being of any church. And when we slip, as we inevitably do, the ability to make amends is one of the foundations of a vital congregation."

Pastor Kurt has enjoyed serving all of his churches and looks forward to what lies ahead.
